CSR Project- SPECIAL CARE SCHOOL

Special Care School for Disabled Children is run by Ladies Welfare Centre, BHEL, RC Puram. This School has successfully completed two decades with strong foundation. Ladies Welfare Centre has started this Special Care School with the support of St. Ann’s School Management in the year 1979.  Since then the school has trained many of the disabled children to do their daily activities and to earn their livelihood successfully in the society.

BGGTS had taken a new initiative of sponsoring INR 11.25 Lakhs School Fee for 75 disabled children studying in Special care school. This helps the disabled/mentally challenged students to learn special education under AP Open school society along with rehabilitation/counselling programs, various therapies as required to the student like Speech therapy, Physiotherapy, Naturopathy etc., based on the assessment done by the Clinical team in Special care school.

Also, these students will also be benefitted with prevocational trainings, on job trainings, Computer education, Adult Independent Living and exposure towards extracurricular activities like Sports, Drawing, Rangoli, Singing and Quiz competitions, Cultural programs, Flower arrangements etc., to improve the IQ levels of these disabled students.

Special Care School had expressed its sincere gratitude for the sponsorship and requested to continue this support every year which in turn was accepted by BGGTS CSR Committee.
